Modulation Deep Dive

The complete modulation system — including the half most Poly D owners never touch.
The front panel gives you four sources and two destinations. The patch bay on the back gives you four more sources — aftertouch, pitch, V-trig, velocity — and the mod source jack, which routes any of them into the modulation mix so a single cable can feed both destinations at once. That’s where the two best tricks come from: aftertouch for pressure-controlled filter and genuine vibrato from wiggling a key, and V-trig for turning the mod wheel into a filter or pitch control. Everything before that builds the foundation: LFO, envelope, noise, oscillator 4, audio rate modulation and the envelope-to-pitch slide.

Tip: For anything through the mod source jack, the modulation mix has to sit on noise. Nothing is bypassed — as long as a cable is patched in, noise steps aside and your source takes its place.
